[TRANS] 100925 ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ OST Shows an Enormous Power in Album Charts

Later on it was down to 2nd place but on the 24th it stepped up occupying 1st spot again, showing a marvelous strength. ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ OST album has a song ‘Found You’ sung by Xiah Junsu, Micky Yoochun, and Youngwoong Jaejoong whose domestic activity have been quite rare, also has each solo song by Xiah Junsu and Youngwoong Jaejoong that definitely become value added. The album surpasses 10,000 copies sales in only one week, showing sign to be a ‘best hit’.

OST album market size is not large to the extent that the album occupies 1st spot in annual chart mostly sells only 20,000 copies. Yet last year, OST album from ‘Boys Over Flowers’ set a scary record by selling an exceptional 53,146 copies after a week, thus it’s interesting to see whether ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ could rise above the record.

KBS2TV television series 'SungKyunKwan Scandal's OST was released on the 16th, earning Micky Yoochun, Youngwoong Jaejoong and Xiah Junsu top spots on the Hanteo Real Time Chart.

On the afternoon of the 16th, the Dong Ban Shin Ki trio's 'Chajatta', Xiah Junsu's 'Too Love' and Youngwoong Jaejoong 's 'For You it's Separation, To Me it's Waiting' made it to first, second and fourth place on Cyworld BGM Real-Time Chart.

'SungKyunKwan Scandal's OST 'Chajatta' is a soothing, yet attention grabbing song performed by Micky Yoochun, Youngwoong Jaejoong and Xiah Junsu. It was played as the background music during episode previews in the first and second episodes and its release has been highly anticipated by fans.

Of course, they were not fully satisfied, an explosive response erupted from the fans as soon as the track was officially released.

Music site monkey3 claimed 'Since its release, there have been heated discussion with regards to the OST.' and 'The song performed by Dong Ban Shin Ki's trio claimed the top spot. Being part of the top 20s is already a demonstration of popularity in itself.'

The airing of ‘Chajada’ at first episode of Micky Yoochun (Park Yoochun)’s drama debut KBS 2TV ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ drawing attention of viewers instantly.

Ever since the conflict between Micky Yoochun, Youngwoong Jaejoong (Kim Jaejoong), and Xiah Junsu (Kim Junsu) with their label SM Entertainment arised in July last year, this would be their first time harmonized together in a song in Korea. The lyrics tells about finding someone who is fated to be loved for the entire life, an impressive love song with bright melody.

Soon after the airing, ‘Chajada’ became on the top of real-time search keyword in various portal sites, showing an explosive reaction.
