[TRANS] 100513 J.RICH was Touched by YunHo's Friendship

Starring a high school friend in their MV “Goodbye My Love”, new vocal group J. Rich has finally broken into the music scene.

A newly formed R&B group, J.RICH, comprising of members Woojoo, Im Hyun and Ha Joon has recently started their activities promoting their new single ‘Goodbye My Love’. They have attracted a lot of attention even before their debut due to the fact that they had invited UKnow Yunho to star in their music video. Before this, UKnow Yunho had never appeared in other artiste’s music video. “Goodbye My Love’ is his first, and this underlies a special relationship between the members and Yunho.

“I was friends with Yunho since high school, and being a guy with huge popularity in school since then, he is a friend whom I have always admired. As compared to our schooling days, we have become much closer in Seoul. Having both left our hometown, we now provide support for each other. Though I have asked him for help, I did not expect him to really agree to appear in the music video.” (WooJoo)

This friendship with Yunho was built through a gathering formed by 14 people all born in the year 1985. The fourteen of them would chip in a certain amount every month to help fund their voluntary works. Last year, during a birthday celebration, WooJoo brought up the suggestion of having Yunho star in his own MV. Yunho has since promised and fulfilled it.

“At the beginning I thought that he will reject this, and I have not heard any news regarding that. But after that I got to know what happened; I heard that Yunho had promised to appear in the music video and he had personally persuaded his company to let him do so. I was really touched; I always thought that he was a loyal friend, and I got to see him from a brand new perspective through this incident.”

Thanks to Yunho, J.RICH have made themselves well-known in a short period of time. Not only did they manage to appear on the online search engine charts, and they have also managed to top charts, which really show their popularity. But the responses from Dong Bang Shin Ki fans are different as they perceived this act of making use of Yunho as a marketing tool to boost their popularity. But there are also a few who support the friendship between both Yunho and WooJoo. However, one should acknowledge that this is the decision made by Yunho, who understands all the hard work his friend had been putting in for the past 10 years..

J.RICH’s ‘Goodbye My Love’ is a smooth ballad, which leaves a deep impression in everyone. Future promotional activities are currently in the planning process. A new song will be be released in July and their summer activities in Japan are also in the process of being planned out.
