Ever since 3 TVXQ members Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu filed an application disposition to terminate their exclusive contract effect, the future of TVXQ is not yet resolved. For all TVXQ fans who wish the group not to be disbanded, this ongoing period is sure a stuffy situation.

However from the recent happenings about this group, seems that there are three possible choices TVXQ may needs to choose in the future.

1. The expiration contract with AVEX in following June and a farewell concert which will be their last concert both in Japan and Korea (we all know the farewell concert is from Sports Nippon article. MyDaily also put the official stand from both AVEX and SM which denied this, but to see the fact TVXQ contract does actually expire in June, this option is seen as possible).

2. Since now the name of Dong Bang Shin Ki is owned by SM, so there’s a chance that the group will continue to work separately as 3:2 team in Korea, however for activities in Asian market including Japan, they’ll team up as five members to work together.

3. The option that most of TVXQ fans wish, having a final reconciliation and a dramatic agreement.

Since SM Entertainment has always been saying, “We want the 3 TVXQ members to return, and let’s having a frank talk together.”, there’s always a chance for both parties to be able to form an amicable settlement before any legal decision shall be made. This is indeed what the fans desperately wish for.

[NEWS] 091208 TVXQ Returned To Korea Separetely

TVXQ's 2 members Yunho and Changmin, as well as the other 3 members Jaejong, Yoochun and Junsu, whose recent Japanese activities have ended, returned to Korea separately.

The 3 members, Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu, who are currently in dispute with SM Entertainment (henceforth known as SM), returned through Gimpo Airport on the same day.

The other 2 members Yunho and Changmin returned last weekend and are currently staying in Korea.

The 5 members left for Japan on 26 November to attend the [Best Hit Music Festival 2009] and [2009 FNS Music Festival], and now that all their Japanese schedules have been completed, they have returned.

TVXQ will attend the [51st Japan Record Award on the 30th, as well as the [NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen] on the 31st.

[TRANS] 091203 Interview With TVXQ's Lawyer Lim Sang Hyuk

-Did you know who TVXQ was?

"(laugh) This shouldn't be printed... I didn't know their faces. Before they came, I kept playing their music videos and putting pictures of their faces on my computer screen so that I could memorize their names and faces. I kept getting mixed up between Choikang Changmin and YoungWoong Jaejoong but luckily(?) Choikang Changmin didn't come here."

Meet Lawyer Lim Sang Hyuk who aided three members of TVXQ, YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu, when they submitted their exclusive contract suspension request against SM Entertainment. On November 25th, this is how the interview began with him as he waved his hand and said, "Don't ask me about TVXQ."

On October 27th, the Seoul District Courts partially accepted the request submitted by the three members. The Courts stated, "SM violated the economic freedom and basic rights of the members of TVXQ through their superior position. There is a high chance that the entire, or parts of the contract will be suspended fully." In words it was 'partial acceptance', and in reality, it signified the loss of the trial of the nation's biggest entertainment agency, SM.

What surprised the entertainment industry more than the Courts' verdict was the fact that the 'provisional disposition' method Lawyer Lim had used had actually worked. A provisional disposition is usually submitted when it is too late to submit a formal trial. A good example would be when the family of the deceased former President Park Jung Hui submitted a a press ban provisional disposition a couple days before the publication of the Glossary of Japanophiles.

-Why did you choose to submit a provisional disposition?

"In the case of celebrity contract disputes, there has never been a single case where the dispute goes to the Supreme Court in the past sixty years. For a formal trial to go to the Supreme Court, it would take 2~3 years but during this period, that celebrity cannot perform in any activities. Everyone starts a lawsuit and ends up giving up halfway through. Had TVXQ gone through with a formal trial, it would have been the end of their career."

Lawyer Lim stated that Sejong chose to submit a provisional disposition, people in the legal circles stated that, 'Sejong has made a mistake.' For a provisional disposition to be accepted, it must fit two criteria. 1. The contract should be nullified. 2. This is a problem so urgent that a provisional disposition is needed before the formal trial. Till now, all of the celebrity contract disputes have been ruled as 'not urgent'.

"We argued that this was a problem that needed to be dealt with immediately. In the case of idol stars like TVXQ, their lifespan is short so we stated that if we were to begin with the lawsuit that lasted 2~3 years, their celebrity career would be over by then. Therefore, the Courts accepted our claim."

Law Lim stated that not even he thought of a provisional disposition at first. "When we first discussed this, we told them 'We will be able to get this contract nullified. However, you won't be able to perform for a while.' This is probably why the two other members did not participate. After we told them that, when we were going through the legal process, that was when the idea came to submit a provisional disposition."

-How can SM retaliate?

"There are many ways. They can submit an appeal or a formal objection, or they can submit an Order of Filing a Lawsuit request which would tell us to, 'hurry up and start the formal trial.' They can also file a lawsuit on the grounds that they believe that the contract is valid. However, they have not done anything yet. We were able to get what we wanted through the provisional disposition. We were able to grant the members freedom to pursue any activity they wanted and stopped the contract. Of course, if the members were to be compensated for their income, then we would have to fight it out in a formal trial. But we are in no hurry."

-So many celebrities will begin using this provisional disposition method, right?

"We've given them a new method of commencing an exclusive contract suspension lawsuit."

Entertainment agencies can do nothing but be alert. Now the road is open that if the contract is deemed unlawful, a verdict can be laid down quickly by the Courts through a provisional disposition. "TVXQ has given their juniors a very big fight. Now, celebrities are able to keep their contracts or terminate them, they've been given another option."

The problem of unlawful celebrity contracts seems to be a long-term disease. It was put in the spotlight after the death of Jang Ja Yeon but then the situation calmed down once more.

-What is the reason that unlawful contracts occur frequently?

"It's because the barriers to entry are extremely high. It has come to a state where, without a large entertainment agency, it is impossible to debut. The singer doesn't get to question the content of the contract, all they can decide is 'should I sign it or not?'. Some of the clauses in contracts are very vague."

'SM will be in charge of all television appearances and all domestic and overseas activities.' This is what is said in the contract between SM and TVXQ. This controversial phrase is bound to be a cause of dispute. An issue that was including in this dispute was whether or not the three members' investment in a cosmetic company was an infringement on the contract. SM stated that it was indeed an infringement since the members could receive offers for commercials. The three members' side retaliated by saying, "So they are saying that the members must ask for permission even when buying stocks from Samsung Electronics. To say that the members must receive permission before doing anything, that is what a slave contract is."

-Why have even big stars like TVXQ endure with these contracts?

"The entertainment management industry is distinctively divided into Kpop, and non-Kpop. In the Kpop market, three major agencies are monopolizing the market. They train people, create albums, etc; they basically contain all the infrastructure necessary. It is hard for a new company to enter this market. It's a monopoly. Even TVXQ is on the second tier in this industry."

-What about other fields?

"The non-Kpop industry is a competitive market. As long as you have great connections and good people, you can succeed if you decided to set up an agency. This means that the barriers to entry are relatively low. The power of the agencies isn't as big."

For actors, they have an 'escalating clause' in their contracts. This means that even rookies can change clauses in their contracts if they become popular.

-Is there a way to stop this from happening again?

"The celebrities can go on strike."

The celebrities go on strike? It's a sight that is difficult to imagine. However, he was serious. If they couldn't go on strike, the labor union could work as the profits distributor, and if even this did not work, then the unfair system could not be fixed.

"In America, celebrities have labor unions, guilds. The production teams and the actors are compromising a labor collective agreement. Even when a rookie actor signs on to a production company, they have to get the signature of the labor union. It is hard for an unlawful contract to exist in such an environment."

-Will a celebrity strike really be possible?

"Haven't you heard about the American actors who went on strike?"

Last December, the Screen Actors Guild got to the brink of a strike. This was because their labor collective agreement negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers was broke down. In June, the labor collective agreement negotiations, which dragged for almost a year, was finalized and the long dispute was finally stitched up.

-Will this be possible in Korea?

"It will if Bae Young Jun and Jang Dong Geon move." He stated that a 'passionate person' was more important than a 'structured individual'. He held the Korean Radio & TV Writers Association as an example.

"In the contract script writers sign with broadcasting companies, it is so equal that it is hard to differentiate between the company and the writer. This is because Writer Kim Soo Hyun took the lead." Writer Kim solved the copyright issues with broadcasting companies by advocating a strike during 1987~1995."

-When it isn't their business, will Korea's top stars take a stance?

"In America, top stars such as Richard Gere and U2 took a stance. In our nation, no one is willing to step up to the plate. Even though the verdict of the Court has been released, no famous celebrity dares to even make any implications about the TVXQ dispute. If this was America, all the top stars would have said something by now."

Then we asked the question that we most wanted to ask. A terse answer was given.

-Doesn't the statement of the agency have a certain amount of reason too?

"It has been the theory of entertainment agencies for tens of years that 'overextended contracts are inevitable because of dangers in investments.' However, the Courts have never recognized this theory."

The verdict of the Courts is always clear and concise. Even in this case, the Courts staged, "It cannot be said that dangers in investments can justify overextended contracts and excessive compensation. There are always dangers when it comes to investing in any market and that is a part that can be compensated."

A change has already begun. JYP Entertainment put in place a new basis for contracts last month. The Fair Trade Committee ruled that the contract JYP made was a 'fair contract' that fit the criteria of the committee's basis for contracts. A law to reform the way the entertainment industry is run is also to be the center of discussion in the National Assembly.

"This method that is currently being used must stop. We cannot let this industry, that oppress people and squeezes them dry for profit, continue."

Lawyer Lim is counted as the 'second generation' celebrity specialized lawyer. This means that he does not consult and legally fight for an individual celebrity, but the celebrity-culture industry as a whole. Those such as Lawyers Choi Jung Hwan and Hong Seung Gi, who have dealt with countless celebrity-related lawsuits, are called first generation lawyer. It may be because major law firms Sejong and TaePyungYang have steeped up to take on the issue, but it can be seem that this dispute between an entertainment agency and a celebrity has moved to a second generation level. [TRANS] 091127 Tohoshinki - Gold Artist Award

The five members of Tohoshinki finally stood together again, standing together on the same stage after the start of the problems.

At 7o'clock on the 26th, the three members who were in a turmoil with SM, along with the other two members approached the "Best Hits Festival 2009" stage together in Japan.

Asia Pasific Music Awards 2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) was held at the Jamshil Indoor Gymnasium on November 21st, the six hour live from 17:00 to 23:00 will broadcast in 10 major Asian countries Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Macau, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore simultaneously.

Three members of TVXQ namely Micky Yoochun, Xiah Junsu, and YoungWoong Jaejoong, who are in legal dispute with their agency SM Entertainment, regardless their agency’s decision to boycott the event announced their attendance at the awards ceremony and many are curious about the future of TVXQ.

On the 21st, the three members said through Mnet, “All five members will participate in various international awards at the end of the year as TVXQ,” and “So far we’ve been focusing a lot on overseas activities, therefore we feel sorry for all Korea fans who keep waiting for us.”

The three members also said, “Through this music festival, we want to greet and say thank you to our fans,” and “It would have been better if all five members could attend.”

The deep friendship between the members of TVXQ was shown as Junsu stated, “This award is not for one single member, but because all 5 members have put so much effort we are able to receive it.” and Jaejoong continued, “I’m hoping that many international and local fans are watching this right now also our two friends who don’t come tonight, as I want to say that I love you.” he referred to the absence of U-Know Yunho and Choikang Changmin.

In addition, related to their current conflict, Micky Yoochun vaguely express his feeling through this chance, “I think this is the first time I’ve wanted to sing so badly. I’m able to meet great members, that’s how finally we get here. We will work harder to expand beyond Asia. We hope for even more support than now.”

Mnet stated, “As TVXQ is the representative of Asia stars, we officially invited all five members to attend MAMA awards,” and “As they have decided to attend for good purposes, we hope that people do not see their decision in a bad view or have any misunderstandings.”

TVXQ fans who were at event location sang a TVXQ song together as commercials were playing at the end of “Act 1″ to show their love for TVXQ. They also waved their red balloons and shouted “TVXQ” to show their belief that TVXQ would remains.

[NEWS] The Occupations of TVXQ in Japan iTunes

One unit from TVXQ consisting Micky Yoochun and Hero Jaejoong have configured their new Japan single to kick 1st place in ORICON chart, and on the same day after TVXQ members’ solo project which contains the members’ single collections was released on line, it also record a high ranking in iTunes Japan chart, TVXQ’s popularity in Japan definitely can be felt.

At iTunes comprehensive chart released on-line a day ago on September 30th, TVXQ’s Junsu single project called “XIAHTIC” was listed at the Top5 Song while “TVXQ Solo Project Single” was listed on Top 6 Album.

This project single contains solo performances that were exclusively performed by individual member in TVXQ’s Tokyo Dome concert held in last July and is released to public with the quality of sound newly recorded in studio version.



According to genre, the songs are ranked in higher position.

On Pop genre Chart, TVXQ’s XIAHTIC was ranked 1st in Top Song, in fact there are 4 TVXQ project singles that are topped the Pop Chart; a song from U-Know Yunho called “Checkmate” at 3rd, recently announced CM song “Amakuhateshinaku (Endlessly Sweet)” at 4th, and a cover song by Jejung & Yuchun entitled “Been So Long (from maison de m-flo album) at 9th, in total 4 songs have been included in Top 10 rank.

The unit of TVXQ’s Micky Yoochun and Hero Jaejoong (JEJUNG & YUCHUN from Tohoshinki) on last 30th released the new single “COLORS ~ Melody & Harmony ~ / Shelter”. At the release day, the single recorded sales over 100,000 copies and was on ORICON Daily Single Chart #1. [NEWS] TVXQ will Hold Concert in China during Chuseok Holiday

Members of TVXQ, including three members (Junsu, Jaejoong, Yoochun) that were in exclusive contract dispute with the label SM Entertainment will spend their Chuseok holiday in China.

They were sent for TVXQ’s 2nd concert in China named after Shanghai concert that will be held at Shanghai Hongkou Football Hall. On October 1st in the evening, the members will leave Korea from Incheon International Airport.

This is their first official gathering in one place for a long time ever since the individual activities of each members this year.

The activities include Yunho who has been appearing in MBC TV drama “Heading To The Ground” and Yoochun and Jaejoong who are having duet project and released single “COLORS ~ Melody & Harmony ~” in Japan.

Since the three members of TVXQ applied for provisional disposition at Seoul Central District Court to terminate the effect of exclusive contract effect against their agency in last July, all group domestic activities has been dropped but the overseas activities.

Last August, TVXQ appearance in joint concert “SMTOWN LIVE ‘09″ was revoked by SM Entertainment, later on the 10th TVXQ also didn’t enter “Dream Concert” held in Soul World Cup Stadium sponsored by Korea Entertainment Producers Association.

When the members went to the stage at the center,
Junsu was deserted at the corner of the main stage, on a wheelchair. T

he most painful scene to observe was that while the members were singing on the stage,
only their backs can be seen from where Junsu was sitting.
Majority of the audience seated at the front arena turned their backs to Junsu.

That was the first time for Junsu to sing while the fans were turning their backs to him
in the countless singing and dancing performances he had done in the past.

Observing that scene was very painful..…………

When Junsu said,
“Above all, I would like to really express my appreciation to the members who did their best…”

Right then, the members were really touched by Junsu’s words.
Yuchun was almost in tears when he replied back to Junsu, saying “Thank you…
” Jejung also said “Thank you.”

It is wonderful that they can say such nice words of appreciation to each other.
I think a lot of fans cried at this.

It was at the Kobe tour that I felt the strong bonds of the TVXQ members
through the sad event of Junsu’s injury…

Q: The best memories this summer?

JJ: Absolutely it’s a-nation! I really enjoyed it this year! a-nation is the best!

YC: a-nation is a good memories, but the activities of Jejung and I as two members left me with good memories as well. We never do this kind of activities before. Even in the interview shooting, when the MC called only the two of us names, I felt really strange at first. But it’s somehow also fresh, we did have fun, a real happy experience.



Q: Is there anything you want to do this summer?

YC: I’m still unable to find lover (laughs). Other things were already achieved entirely, however for this one, this is the only thing left to do (laughs).

JJ: Travelling. Once when I had some days off, I was going to go, but unfortunately I got cold… so in fact I had to spend most of the time on bed, it was really disappointing.



Q: What you’re going to do to nail this year?

JJ: Currently I’m in process of composing a song, and I want to entirely complete it. I also want to compose a song for Tohoshinki, of course, not just for us two, we also want to sing with other artists. However, no matter how much passionate I said to sing with other artists, it won’t be actualize unless there’s an artist that actually says he/she wants to sing with us. Therefore, to make an artist comes out and says he/she wants to sing with us, I’m trying hard to create a good song.

YC: I want to search for love. Because during summer this year, I’m unable to search for one (laughs)

Q: Recent episode that is interesting?

JJ: Yuchun started to get up early. Until now, Yuchun’s pattern was sleep later than anyone else, and also get up slower than anyone else. It seems that he prepares himself slower than anyone else (laughs)

YC: But in the end, also work harder than anyone else (laughs)

JJ: That’s why, since he put too much concentration in his work, he came to sleep late again therefore get up late as well (laughs). However, Yuchun’s pattern recently is getting up early and even eat a fine breakfast, I was even surprised to see that.

YC: yes. Just now I started to eat breakfast again.

JJ: It’s the manager who becomes really excited about this.

YC: I changed the life cycle unconciously. It’s rather good and healthy, but I think sometimes I want to go back to the way I used to be. If you ask why, it’s because I couldn’t hang out much in the evening again as I become drowsy too soon as the consequence of the early wake up (laughs)



Q: To say one word about each other character?

JJ: Yuchun is stingy! I have never seen such a stingy person like this! (laughs)

YC: Oh, at which part?

JJ: When we go eating meal together, don’t you always say “Jejung, I’m broke.”

YC: Because Jejung is the hyung.

JJ: Oh really, do you think me as your hyung!?

YC: *suddenly turns to be honorific* Definitely. I admire you. I always want to be someone like Jejung.



JJ: In Korea, there’s also a Warikan (T/N: warikan means split the bill) culture, however when a man and woman eating meal, it’s mostly man who will pays, as well when a senior eating meal with the junior, mostly the senior will pays. But if it’s always that way, in Tohoshinki, I’m the oldest, then I’m the one who will pay the most. That’s why I thought when I just go with Yuchun, both of us will split the bill. However, not a long time ago when I ate meal with him and before I could say that it’s warikan, Yuchun had already sneaked out of the store and I found myself all alone (laughs).

YC: I ran away (laughs). But since then I always sleep early and wake up early. So the fact that I become an early riser, thanks to Jejung (laughs)

JJ: So it was from that time (laughs). Well, from now on, you have to split the bill with me.

YC: Okay. You’re the one who split the bill.

JJ: Yeah. Then if you don’t split the bill then on, I’m going to run over you with hair clippers! (laughs)



- “COLORS ~ Melody and Harmony ~” is the song that was performed at Tohoshinki’s Tokyo Dome concert.

JJ: Yes. For Tokyo Dome concert, I wrote this song together with Yuchun. So I want to compose a song that is able to be sung along well with everyone in the concert venue. With such purpose, a kind of melody that’s even when only listened once yet everyone would be able to sing it along, was thought by us at that time.

YC: Considering the overall balance Jejung has thought, the melody was created by interaction of two of us. However, since from the beginning the theme of this song was “a song that you can sing with everyone”, we’re able to do it smoothly. While writing the rap part by associating it to an image, it comes to an easy as well. When writing it, I remember the image of Christmast tree that is able to make a simple smiley face, thus it’s done in only 10 minutes.

- That seems to be a pretty clear image. As the lyricist, do you have any request about feeling regarding the song lyrics?

YC: Yes. It’s not a merely romantic love song, please consider a little bigger love within the song. To sing in Tokyo Dome was definitely my dream, therefore I thought it’s greater than just an ordinary love song.

JJ: When the last lyrics was completed, it was a big satisfaction. That was beyond imagination.

- In fact the 50,000 audiences were actually singing along with two of you in Tokyo Dome concert.



JJ: At that time, it was really the best feeling ever. “COLORS ~ Melody and Harmony ~” is a song to send “thank you” to all Tohoshinki fans. That’s why I want to sing it with lot more people. That’s why the fact that we could achieve it in Tokyo Dome, I was really glad.

- I see. So it’s like the feelings of Tohoshinki and all fans included in 1 song.

JJ: Yes. That’s right.

YC: As for the concert being possible to be held in such wide place like Tokyo Dome, it’s the favor of all the fans. On the stage, I was very happy and passionate, it was fun.

- In CD-only version, there’s the live version of the actual performance in Tokyo Dome. The sense of those outstanding cheers still sound so real.

YC: Afterall, after listening to it the first time how did I remember? I was a little worried because when everyone sang it in the concert, we had such an enormous delight (that he thought the voices would be a mess). However, since all of them sang it properly, to be truth I’m liking the live version of “la la la” more.

- Since I also came to the Tokyo Dome, I could recall the scene that time. Within the song, everyone became one, there was a really wonderful thing.

JJ: Yes, as intended (laughs). What I wanted was to make this a good song.

- Another song in this double-A single, “SHELTER”. This one is a danceable song.

JJ: “Shelter” was just made recently. For single “COLORS ~ Melody and Harmony ~”, I was told by the other members to compose another song. So I started to compose it, but I was worried that I wouldn’t succeed in creating the chorus. At that time, Junsu suddenly came in, singing his proposed chorus part and said, “How bout this?” (laughs). And then when I tried to listen it later on, it sounded pretty good (laughs).

Part A and B melody sounds lonely yet the chorus runs passionately. As a result, I thought it was an interesting song. Moreover, as I’m the one who did the A and D part melody, Yuchun did B part melody, and Junsu did the chorus, to have 3 members involved in its composing makes this song becomes interesting.

- Yuchun, did you write the rap part for this song as smooth as you did with “COLORS ~ Melody and Harmony ~”?

YC: “Shelter” rap was troublesome (laughs)



- Really? (laughs) Why?

JJ: I told Yuchun to rap the B part only 2 days before the recording (laughs)

YC: But when I was being told that time, there was only B part that was going to be a rap. I created that one part in about 10 minutes, and when I went to the studio to record, I was really surprised that there were actually 3 rap parts (laughs). So it was a really rush time in studio when I wrote those left parts.

JJ: Well Yuchun, didn’t I see you sleeping, though? (laughs). You’ll know if you listen to it well, that the rap in 1B and 2B has a completely different tone. In 1B, it has less tension, while in 2B the tension is increasing. This happened because Yuchun recorded the 1B part immediately after he woke up (laughs). The other part was the opposite to that, that’s why the 1B tone is going low in husky voice (laughs).



YC: It was on purpose (laughs). I thought 1B would be awesome to be done in low tone, but I admit that since I was sleepy, I slept for about 13 minutes (laughs)

- So that’s the truth? (laughs) However, to have 1B in low tone and 2B in more tension, I think it matches with the mood of the song.

YC: See? That’s why I said it was in purpose (laughs). I even calculated that far (laughs).

[TRANS] 090930 Fans Turn Into Consumer Activists

Park Jin-young, president of JYP Entertainment, made an official statement on Sept. 17 to explain his stance regarding Park Jae-beom, the former leader of the uber-popular boy band 2PM. The briefing was an inevitable measure in the face of the aggressive activism from 2PM fans.

It was the band’s loyal fans – who have printed advertisements in newspapers and are threatening to boycott 2PM-related products and items – that pushed him to make a reluctant speech over Jae-beom, who left the band after negative comments he made about Korea four years ago were made public.

However, Park is about to make another big decision as unsatisfied fans are asking him to disclose the singer’s working contract.

The fans also continue to release newspaper advertisements calling for Jae-beom’s reinstatement, in which they allude to a potential boycott of TV and other programs involving 2PM until the music tycoon takes back the member.

The world of fandom is changing rapidly. Gone are the days when they were mere consumers of pop culture. They are now the largest influence in the field, able to “solve the problems on their own.”

This is a long way from the image of fans screaming or crying in front of their favorite stars’ residences.

“They are quite frank about what they want and know how to get it,” online showbiz critic Fiancee said.

“They have realized that they do have power over their stars. They make statements, hold protests and write appealing letters to reporters, industry insiders and others. They are becoming a ‘political power’ in a way,” she said.

A while ago, SM Entertainment, which represents the boy band Super Junior, planned to hire a Chinese member for the band to woo the Chinese market. Consequently, angry fans gathered in front of the headquarters every second Saturday to protest the decision.

The company later withdrew the announcement, saying they “respect the fans, who are the biggest assets to Super Junior.”

Fan clubs are now boycotting SM products because they canceled concerts at which TVXQ was scheduled to appear.

“This is our time to show SM that we are more than passive stance,” a fan said.

This is the case not only with the fans of singers.

When it was announced that the MBC cult hit “Tamnaneundoda” (Tamra, the Island) was wrapping up on Sept. 27, far earlier than the originally planned date of Oct. 11, fans held an online campaign to urge the station to withdraw the decision.

Kim Mi-kyeong, one of the cast members, said in an interview that it was the first time she had felt such intimacy with her fans. “The fans would bring snacks, try to encourage us and make every detail of the drama an issue so that the station could give it a second thought. I never imagined in my life that fans would act to influence a TV drama,” she said.

“This is a new wave of the consumer’s rights movement. They stand for the entertainer’s rights and their own rights against an offensive and cold capitalism,” Kim Seong-su, another culture critic, said.

But in some cases, the depth of the fans’ affection is becoming aggressive and offensive to others.

Fans of G-Dragon, the lead singer of Big Bang, bombarded the Web site of the MBC radio program “Bae Cheol-soo’s Music Camp,” and several others for raising suspicion over the plagiarism.

It was later revealed that his recording company was warned over the issue by Sony Korea.

MBC JAPAN started a free broadcast for the special images of "Heading to the Ground," starring Jung Yunho and Go Ara. Three films will be aired, namely, "Praying for the Success of the Drama, Plus Yunho and Ara Interview," "Close Coverage of Yunho," and "The Drama Posters’ Shooting Scenes."

"Praying for the Success of the Drama, Plus Yunho and Ara Interview" includes the August 24th praying ceremony and the interview of Jung Yunho and Go Ara.

"Close Coverage of Yunho" includes scenes like Yunho looking nervous for his first drama, Yunho impressing the director with his marvelous acting, the real Yunho after shooting, and Yunho lifting soccer balls after the interview. This is a must-watch for fans!

In "The Drama Posters’ Shooting Scenes," you can see the fresh four starring members, Jung Yunho (Cha Bong-Goon), Go Ara, Lee Yoon-Ji and Lee Sang-Yoon. Especially for Yunho, you can watch him take off his soccer uniform (which is now the hottest topic), and you can also see him in an animal costume, and in waiter clothes, too. His style is full of variety.

"Heading to the Ground" is a success story of a nameless soccer player, becoming the representative by the power of love.
