[NEWS] Getting popularity, Yoochun Japanese TV Drama Series Gained 250,000 Downloads Record on Its First Day

Yoochun’s first TV series in Japan, “Beautiful Love ~君がいれば~” starts airing through BeeTV in early June. The drama is about a handsome chaebol roled by Yoochun and Omasa Aya as a journalist dreaming to be a novelist, from their confrontations, gradually they start to understand each other, a kind of Cinderella love story.

Even since the first day of video release, the number of download of this drama has been breaking the previous record by gaining 250,000 downloads, and together with “Making off ~ Beautiful Love ~” the drama has set a record to be the most viewed video for 4 consecutive days, definitely garnering its popularity!

Yoochun with his own unique charm that is different from his bright performance on stage as a singer, as an actor identity, he has delivered a natural acting skills, creating topics/sensation.

Meanwhile, the drama’s theme song “Kimi ga Ireba ~ Beautiful Love” and inserted song “Intoxication” is sung by Yoochun’s group mate Junsu and are included in XIAH Junsu’s first solo album. The album has recorded more than 200,000 copies sold.

JS: It's been a long time since we stood in front of the audience, so of course we're feeling nervous. But… ah… we carry the mix of joy, pressure, worries, and various feelings… We will do our best with our positive feelings so that you will be able to enjoy the stage that we offer. After all, when I stand on the stage and sing… for me, I feel that if I sing, I can keep on living. That is how important the stage is to me. Well, if I can convey something to the fans through our songs, I'll be very happy. Perhaps, for me, well… I think I will be singing until the day I die. If there are people who want to listen to our songs, no matter what condition I am in, I will thrive my very best.

JJ: When it was decided that we would be doing this live, that we would be able to see you all, I was very happy. Regarding to the live this time… well, I want to make it a live not only for the music, but also to exchange our feelings with each other. When the audience be together with us, become one with us, sing with us, laugh with us, cry with us… that moment is really tremendous. [The fans] are not always with us physically, but I feel like they're the ones who are closest to us, the ones who always understand us, who worry the most about us, who support us the most. They have that kind of existence. To me, they are the ones whom I can't live without. That's why, they are precious to me.

YC: If it wasn't for our fans, I wouldn't have loved music this much. It is the uttermost the reason for me to sing. The fans… how do I put it… it's hard to put in words how great their love and their big hearts they possess. More and more, I want to try harder at our activities. JJ: Started in Osaka, today is the last day of our live. From the beginning, we've had a lot of worries, but thanks to all of you, our worries have gone away. From the deepest of our heart, we are very thankful that a lot of you have come to our live.

YC: *Fans cheering* Yesssssss. Eh, thank you very much. Last year... last year when I stood here at Tokyo Dome, I really, really wanted to stand here at Tokyo Dome again to the point that I became worried *Fans cheering* Yes, thank you. But really, thanks to everyone, I'm able to stand here again. Thank you very much. From now on, we'll do our best with various activities so please keep supporting us.

JS: Yes *Fans cheering* That's right. Really, when we decided on our Dome tour, I was very worried. We have 4 lives in Osasa and Tokyo, but to have you all come to to see us at Dome like this, each time still feels like a dream for me. JJ: Yes. *Fans cheering* Uhm, perhaps, from the time we decided on this live, we thought that, instead of telling about you our sorrows and pains, we came here with the hope to see your smiles. From Osaka to here, there are only 3 of us, but… The things that we couldn't tell you, for example, the pains and the things we suffered up until now, the tears that we've been holding in, we wanted to at least be honest in front of you, really, we want to honestly show you our emotions. But if we do that then you will cry, and when we see your crying faces, we get hurt really much. So we told ourselves so many times not to cry. We told ourselves that, just at this place, we should smile properly and sing and dance with everyone; that if we show you our happy faces, then you will also be happy.

Honestly, this live only lasts 3 hours but we have a lot of things to say. This short amount of time is nothing compared to the time that you've been waiting for us. Although it is short and we can't express much to you, we believe that just by mutual understanding each other and being able to see your smiles, there's a meaning to this live.

Today was very fun. Just like the pure and bright emotions that you have brought here, we also want continue singing together with everyone while carrying along the pure emotions we've been bringing with us since our debut. [TRANS] 100614 Tohoshinki’s New Unit Cries “I Still Want To Continue Singing From Now On”

Popular group Tohoshinki on hiatus, has its members Junsu, Jejung and Yuchun for a new unit, and perform in Tokyo Dome for two days ending on the 13th. The 4 day tour attracted around 200,000 viewers. After the last song, Jejung commented “When I cried on the first day in Osaka, seeing everyone want to cry broke my heart. Today here, are you all smiling happily?" Smiling, he also said “Since our debut till now, I want to keep my feelings pure and continue singing”, and the three promised that, and couldn’t suppress their painful tears.

Last year in July, Tohoshinki had their first Tokyo Dome performance, and after 11 months, they once again stood on that stage. Yuchun said, “In truth, to come here again, I was a bit worried. But, because all of you we are here. Really, thank you very much!” Overcoming the problems of disbandment, the three were thankful to be able to gather here again. Junsu also said, “having the Dome filled with everyone, it feels like a dream. I’m really happy”, and as he bowed, he started to cry.

On the first day of the Kyocera Dome performance, both the members and the fans cried. Telling us of his feelings at then, Jejung said “even though it’s only the 3 of us on the stage…. the thing’s we couldn’t tell you, the sad things, the painful things and such, the tears that we’ve been trying to hold back, that we’ve thought of showing.” In the face of a complicated future, they showed sincerity, today they decided to “laugh and enjoy with everyone,” and kept smiling.

However, when they sang the last ballad “W”, which contained lyrics that alluded to hope for a reunion with the remaining members of Tohoshinki, the feelings overflowed and they started to cry. As the 3 left the stage in tears, the 54,000-strong crowd clapped and there was a resounding cheer that delivered the message, “Thank you.”

With the concept of “Singing to thank the fans for their support,””JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN THANKSGIVING LIVE IN DOME” presented 4 new songs, including “Itsudatte kimi ni” (For you, always) and “W”, as well as other songs and solos, with a total of 18 songs performed. On the 28th of July, the documentary road movie of the three members’ journey of self-discovery before the new unit was active,“3hree Voices” will be released.

Junsu, Jejung & Yuchun, who cried at the response of the fans at Tokyo Dome for the last day of their Live Performance.

Stopping all activities since April, Korea’s 5-member group Tohoshinki’s Junsu, Jejung and Yuchun ended their “JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN THANKSGIVING LIVE IN DOME” at Tokyo Dome on the 13th of June. Jejung, who cried at the very first song in the Osaka Performance said “No matter what pain and sadness we’ve been through, we’ve endured it, we have been bearing with it.” And admitted to the emotional pain that they have been though. “But from here, I can see the crying faces of everyone, and that makes me sad, so from now on, I want to smile properly. To see everyone enjoying themselves, I think it’s better if we show you the happy side of ourselves,” he said. However, as they sang their new song during the encore, that was the moment that tears started to flow among the audiences below the stage.

This Live was performed at 2 different venues, with a total of 4 performances. Nearly 1 million applications for tickets were received, and Kyocera Dome was packed with 46,000 fans, a record breaking audience number for Kyocera Dome. Tokyo Dome was packed with 54,000 fans daily. The live, inclusive of the encore, saw a total of 18 songs performed, with 4 new songs being performed by the 3 members.

Yuchun, who cried at the Tokyo Dome encore stage, said “Last year was the first time, and this is the second time. (Last year) I really wanted to stand on the Tokyo Dome stage again, but I was worried”he admitted. Junsu said, “When this (Live performance) was decided, it was really like a dream. Because we don’t want to disappoint everyone who is supporting us, we want to work hard on this stage,”choking on his words.

From now, Junsu will be performing as solo artist XIAH Junsu, as well as a trio unit together with Jejung and Yuchun.

Tohoshinki members Junsu, Jejung and Yuchun, whose group has currently paused all activities, held the final leg of their Dome Tour on June 13th at Tokyo Dome.

This Dome tour was spread between two locations, Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome, and had four performances in total. There were over one million applications for tickets to all four concerts. They set a record for the biggest audience at the Kyocera Dome legs, held on June 5th and 6th, with 46,000 people showing up per day; this was a performance Tohoshinki fans had been waiting for.

At the Tokyo Dome performance, which attracted 54,000 fans, the starting time passed and the opening video began. After each member spoke of their current plans on video, the three appeared from different sides and walked towards the center of the stage. There was no sound other than the loud cheers from the over 50,000 people who were there. And then the three reached the center stage. Jejung began with their new song, a medium tempo ballad titled “何時だって君に (For you, Always)”. Not one of them were smiling. However, it seemed as though their eyes were filled with happiness and gratefulness at being able to meet with their fans once more.

“We are happy that so many people came today like always. We will work as hard as we can, so please help us liven up the atmosphere.” – Junsu

“Are you well? This is Yuchun. Yes, I want to work hard till the end of… (Looks at the other members)? Don’t laugh. (Laughter) Please enjoy the performance till the end.” – Yuchun

“Hello everyone, this is Jejung. Are you well? We’ve come all the way from Osaka, and reached Tokyo Dome safely. We are thankful to see so many people here today. Many came to support us so we will smile in return. Enjoy the performance till the end.” – Jejung


During the live performances, the crowd would cheer every time the members’ gazes hit them as Jejung, Junsu and Yuchun moved around. On stage, Junsu interrogated Yuchun about the fact that, “During the drama shoot, you kissed(Aya Oomasa) without it being in the script”. The three replayed the best scenes from their dramas and made the audience laugh during their talks.

The three sang three new songs ‘君のために(For You)’, ‘Get Ready’, and ‘Long Way’, Junsu sang a song from his single “XIAH” which was released on May 26th, and the JEJUNG & YUCHUN duo sang both songs from their single “COLORS ~Melody and Harmony~/Shelter”. Yuchun & Jejung each sang a solo, and the three sang covers of J-POP songs, Hideaki Tokunaga’s ‘Rainy Blue’ and Kome Kome Club’s ‘君がいるだけで (As long as you’re here)’. During the cover of m-flo’s ‘Been so Long’, LISA appeared on stage as a guest and the four of them had the whole place fired up.


Yuchun chose 15-year-old Miki out of over 50,000 fans to sing ‘My Girlfriend’ to, inducing loud screams from the other females present as he placed his arm around her shoulder, held her hand and knelt as he presented her with flowers. Jejung’s rock solo ‘Maze’ covered the Dome in lasers, and the wind coming from below Jejung’s feet fired up the audience’s red glow (red is Tohoshinki’s color) even more. Junsu showed off a perfect dance performance with his song ‘XIAHTIC’ and showed off his muscles in a tank top as he danced seductively with female backdancers. The three sang eighteen songs, including an encore, for around three hours with 12 dancers, five band members and 70 support dancers.


“When it was decided that this performance would happen, I believe that you all decided to come here hoping to see our smiling faces rather than to hear our sad and unfortunate stories. On the first day in Osaka, because there were only three people on stage, I fought to hold back the tears I’d been storing from all the hard, sad things that have happened and all the things we haven’t been able to tell you. When we let out all our emotions at Osaka, it was so sad to see your crying faces, and I thought, “I shouldn’t cry in front of everyone.” I feel it is better to leave the stage as a place where we can show ourselves singing, dancing and enjoying our time there. Just being able to look you in the eye, see your smiling faces makes this Live so meaningful. I want to hold that pure emotion, that is like your smiling faces, and carry it with me as I sing with you by my side.” – Jejung

The three who said, “We shouldn’t show any tears on stage,” finished their final farewells and left the stage. As soon as they got off stage, they said, “We were happy,” with fat tears rolling down their cheeks.

And there is good news for those who could not make it to the dome tour. So that the three can send their gratitude to more people, the digest video of , which attracted 200,000 people in four days, will be available on mu-mo, NICONICO Videos and Myspace USTREAM for free.
