TVXQ Member Hero Jaejoong shed tears to hear the sad news about Park Yong-ha.

Hero Jaejoong who is currently in the midst of recording in United States on the 30th has to hear the suicide news of his close friend Park Yong-ha and devoted himself in tears. Jaejoong said, “I really want to visit the room where Park Yong-ha coffin is placed now, what should I do. How could this happen to him.” he stopped as he’s burst in tears. “Yesterday (the 29th) we’re talking on the phone. We’re supposed to meet when I return to South Korea…”

A representative of Jaejoong said, “The relationship between Park Yong-ha and Jaejoong was more than just a close relationship. They tell each other everything. When Jaejoong heard about this sad news in America, he’s totally clueless and was bitter to know nothing about the incidence. The most heartbreaking thing is that he will have to stay in United States and won’t be able to at least visit Park Yong-ha coffin.”

Since Jaejoong and Park Yong-ha both pursue activities in Japan, they have established a close relationship. Staying in a foreign country, they started to share thoughts and opinions which then built close friendship between them for years.

[TRANS] 100629 Heading To The Ground Achieves Milestone After Bae Yong Joon

Yunho, after Bae Yong Joon, has achieved the record of holding number one spot on Japan's DVD Oricon charts after 3 years with the MBC television drama he acted as the main character, "Heading To The Ground".

According to the weekly television drama DVD charts on the 28th, Yunho's first time acting as main character in the drama "Heading To The Ground" has earned both number 1 and number 2 spots with the individual DVD box sets.

The only Korean drama to ever achieve number 1 and 2 spots on the weekly Oricon television drama DVD charts was Bae Yong Joon's drama "The Story of the First King's Four Gods" (The Legend) in 2007. This is the first time in 3 years since a Korean DVD drama has achieved this feat.

In comparison to somewhat low viewer ratings in Korea, "Heading To The Ground" has achieved a milestone in Japan, showing the amount of care Yunho receives from fans.
On another note, Yunho will start acting as the main character, Prince Lee Shin, in the musical "Goong" starting in September.

According to the 'Global Track Chart', on the 9th week of 2010 (March 6th), album sales for 'Best Selection 2010' reached 413,000. In second place was Sade's 'Soldier of Love' with 89,000 copies sold, and in third place was Lady Gaga's 'The Fame Monster' which sold 187,000 copies.

[FANACCOUNT] 100626 - JYJ at LAX airport

So I got there at around 11. They didn’t come out at 11:30, where there flight was supposed to land, we waited about two hours and cassies from the corner saw them from their angle. There were many screams of “JAEJOONG!” and “JUNSU!”; only Jaesu came out. Jaejoong bowed his head a little and I supposedly saw Junsu smile –even behind the mask.(not sure tho, but he looked surprised.. i guess o-o) I hurriedly took two pictures as they came out and ran to the other side where I could get them at a good angle. There were NO bodyguards. About 15 fans were there standing RIGHT next to them, but not invading their space and showing respect for them. The fans had a slight brush of their touch. (: I was in a complete daze and couldn’t even think. My body just moved to randomly take whoever was in front of me (mostly Jaejoong). As he walked I stayed right behind him (a foot probably), trailing around, (also smelling him.. he smelled good :Q) and taking pictures ^__^, but I was stupid; I should’ve recorded it. Jaejoong was wearing a black suit and pants. His hair seemed to be in perfect shape, and I saw his beautiful eyes .. and also his piercings. He looked cold.. I think he just felt bad maybe because he was sick? Or there were fans going crazy :|. Junsu was around but I couldn’t really get near him.
Soon, I saw Yoochun, as we walked outside. He had his beanie, shorts, headphones, and a tshirt. I was close to all of them except for chunnie. but it was about three feet away. I just had enough of the GLIMPSE of him talking and hearing his voice was heaven. He looked nice and happy. Then Junsu for some reason, no fans were up to him, he was just standing ALONE.(for about 20 seconds lol) So I walked up to him, took out my iPod and sharpie, and asked for him to sign my just holding it out. I was hesitating and I thought he was ignoring me .. or he just didn’t see it.. ):, so I gave up on him signing it. He was really close and I was the first one there standing next to him. Jaesu already crossed the street and we followed them of course ^^. Then Yoochun crossed the street. And once again, I was in too much of a daze that I just kept staring at their face and not their whole body. While we walked, I tried getting pictures… Then.. I was walking trying to catch up to the other members; someone bumped into me, I thought it was a fan, but IT WAS JAEJOONG! It was okay because HE bumped ME, instead of the other way, so I didn't feel bad ^o^. Yeah, I was all excited and my mind was a blur. ; o; The three went up the stairs but we didn’t follow them, since we had to go already. )=. Some cassies went up the elevator and some went up the stairs, but we stopped right there.

Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu join CM for Lotte Duty Free.

The CM track was filmed in a studio in Seoul where filming for the movie could take place alongside the photoshoot. This took place back in April, amidst the members' packed schedules.

The Lotte Duty Free advertisement required props such s balloons, flowers and VIP cards from the store. Such advertisements are usually filmed during the day, from 11pm to 6pm, but due to the 3 members' tight schedules, filming had to begin at 5pm and lasted all the way till 3 in the morning.

Members of the filming crew said that 'Filming late at night was very difficult, but the three of them did not show any signs of annoyance and were extremely enthusiastic.'

Idol group TVXQ's Trio have filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment to terminate the effectiveness of their exclusive contract.

According to Seoul District Courts on 28th, Hero Jaejoong (kim Jaejoong), Xiah Junsu (Kim Junsu), Micky Yoochun (Park Yoochun) stated that, 'SM advocates that in order to expand the overseas market, 13 years of contract is a must. However, it is unreasonable and non understandable.', 'Even the contract can be terminated, members still need to pay compensation fee for the damage, the amount is too big and unreasonable.'

Three of them stated that, 'Since the exclusive contract is invalid, so SM should consider TVXQ's income as unreasonable income, ' SM must first pay each member 10 billion won, with a total of 30 billion won'. and advocated that, ' From 60 billion won TVXQ has earned till now, SM must pay each member 10 billion won ultimately after divided the total income and minus the additional cost.'


They submitted 'near life-long exclusive contract suspension injunction' to court in July last year. In October the same year, the court decided to invalidate their exclusive contract, and stated that 'Before a judgment has reached in this case, SM cannot hinder the trio's solo activities.'

[TRANS] 100628 JYJ files lawsuit against SM

News released by the Seoul Central District Court on the 28th states that the TVXQ trio have filed lawsuit against SM demanding earnings from album sales.

Whilst SM maintains that a 13 year exclusive contract is necessary to compensate for time lost during overseas activities, the trio argue that other artists with overseas activities have much shorter contracts e.g. SS501 have a 5 year contract, Big Bang have a 6 year contract and the Wonder Girls have a 7 year contract. This provides full proof that having overseas activities does not in any way necessitate a longer contract, as SM claims.

They also contend that SM must first pay each member (of the trio) 10 billion won. To date, TVXQ's revenue has totaled to 60 billion won; excluding any other supplemental fees, SM should pay each of the five members 10 billion won.

Last October, the court made the decision that SM must no longer interfere with any of the trio's individual activities.

Three members of 'TVXQ' have filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment following their exclusive contract injunction.

According to the Seoul District Courts, Xiah Junsu (Kim Junsu), Micky Yoochun (Park Yoochun) and YoungWoong Jaejoong (Kim Jaejoong) filed an exclusive contract validity suspension lawsuit on the 25th.

Sejong, the law firm in charge of the trio's legal actions, stated, "The exclusive contract period is thirteen years from the date they debuted, however, if military service is taken into consideration, the length of the contract is in fact fifteen years," and "This violates Clause 103 of the civil code." Clause 103 of the civil code states that any legal acts that violate good customs or public order will become invalid. Sejong also stated, "If the contract is canceled, the members must pay an extravagant compensation fee that is three times the amount of total investments and twice the amount of what the group would have earned in the remaining period of the contract."

The trio submitted an exclusive contract suspension injunction last July which was partially granted in October. SM Entertainment also filed an objection to the partial acceptance verdict and a lawsuit to confirm the continued validity of the exclusive contract in April.

[TRANS] 100625 Hero Jaejoong and SarangJoong Fanclub Donated Operation Fees To Young Girl with Leukemia

Hero Jaejoong and SarangJoong Fanclub have become affiliates with Korea’s Heart Disease Foundation to bring other countries in Asia like Japan, China, etc to support the foundation.

One of the activities Jaejoong had outside Korea was to help those who had difficulties but keep on fighting for their own dreams. Fan-made DVDs, T-shirts etc were sold; a total of 6,000,000 Won was earned which was donated to Korea’s Heart Disease Foundation. They gave this money to Park * Ki (14-year-old), assisting her in a bone marrow transplant.

This year, 19th May, Park * Ki received her younger brother’s bone marrow and currently recovering. On the 3rd of June, SarangJoong’s staff visited Park * Ki. The patient was recovering in the sterilized ward, thus they were not allowed to converse directly with her. However, Park * Ki conveyed her thanks through the hospital’s glass window and the staff also wished her an early recovery.

SarangJoong’s staff will continue to unite all the love from its members, and do charitable work. Just like how Hero Jaejoong’s music and acting skills gave them the biggest inspirations and joys, Hero Jaejoong and SarangJoong’s staff both said that they wanted to share the love with those who are facing difficulties.

[NEWS] 100625 Ueno Juri, Eita, TVXQ’s Jejung – The Story Of Friendship From Twitter To Be Released On DVD

The youth drama “Sunao Ni Narenakute” (Fuji TV) is a story about 5 young men and women who met through twitter, and subsequently developed a true friendship. With the airing of the final episode yesterday, an announcement was made for the DVD-release of the drama.

The screenplay for “Sunao Ni Narenkute” was written by Eriko Kitagawa, and boasts a cast of Eita, Ueno Juri, Jejung (Tohoshinki), Seki Megumi, Tamayama Tetsuji, Igawa Haruka, Fubuki Jun, Kikawa Koji and big names.

Eita plays the role of Nakaji, a photographer who has a complex relationship with his father. Ueno Juri is Haru, a temporary teacher in a private high school who wants to stand for her own beliefs. Jejung is Doctor, a sales man who does not perform well and suffers under a lot of pressure. Seki Megumi plays the role of Haru’s close friend Peach, who has an affair with her superior. And Tamayama Tetsuji is Linda, who seems like he as a glamorous job in big publishing firm, but actually suffers from the problem of ED.

These 5 people publish messages about their feelings and whereabouts within 140 characters, onto twitter, and eventually meet. The topics revolve around Ueno Juri and the other cast members, and is a story that many people can empathize with.

“Sunao Ni Narenakute” DVD BOX will be released on 22 September, with 6 discs and special footages.

My role (Mrs. Weber) was a villain who torments Mozart, but his acting was so good that I felt bad for tormenting him. I told him that I wanted him to keep acting. He himself said that he wants to keep doing musicals.

Are all idol stars like that?
Not at all. Aside from Xiah Junsu, I heard that Yesung from NamHanSanSung worked very hard as well. I also heard that Daesung and Seungri did well in Cats and Rain Shower respectively. I heard that although Jessica was lacking in preparation time, she had a desire to perform in the musical. These are the most unfortunate cases; they have plenty of drive, but lack the necessary circumstances to succeed.

It seems that not many idol stars appear in licensed musicals. Cats, Mozart, and Legally Blonde seem to be it? Why is that?
With big productions, foreign staff from overseas come for the audition process. People are never cast just because they are idol stars in these situations. [TRANS] Oricon - Tohoshinki Yunho’s Takes 1st & 2nd Place In The DVD Drama Category

His first leading role as an actor, Tohoshinki’s Jung Yunho’s drama “No Limit ~Heading to the Ground~ Complete DVD Box I” and “DVD BOX II” (released on the 16th) has sold over 14,000 copies within the first week, taking the 1st and 2nd placing on the drama category of the Oricon Weekly chart. (2nd and 3rd on the overall chart.) From the same group, Junsu, Jejung & Yuchun have formed a new unit, and Yunho himself will be starring in the Korean Musical “Goong,” doing other activities aside from singing, proving that their popularity has not waned.

For Korean dramas, the last “One-two” finish had occurred on 26 March 2007, for the making of Bae Yong Joon’s “The Legend”, titled “The Legend Preview DVD Gold Edition” and “Silver Edition” It has been 3 years and 3 months since then.

This drama was produced by Korea’s MBC, and is currently airing on Korean entertainment channel KNTV, in Japan. It is a youth love comedy drama. Yunho plays the role of a soccer player with unknown potential, whose team disbands and the story unfolds as he struggles, grows and love blossoms between himself and those around him.

The DVD comes in a set of 5 discs, 4 of which contain the main story. The final disc is a special containing cast interviews, the making films. Other premiums such as a special photobook are also included.

[TRANS] Yunho's HTTG DVD release Premium Event in Japan

Popular Korean group TVXQ's leader Yunho, is going to Japan for PREMIUM EVENT in conjunction with the release of DVD 'Heading to the Ground', the drama series which he starred as main lead.

To commemorate the release of Heading To The Ground DVD, Yunho is going to attend 'Yunho in Heading To The Ground PREMIUM EVENT 2010' in Tokyo International Forum Hall 26th this month.

In this event, Yunho is going to release “My Best Scenes Top 3” which are selected by him. At the same time, there will be a talk show, quiz, present corner and the other programs, to convey the charm of this drama to everyone. Besides that, Ara is going to attend this event as a special guest.

Tokyo and Shibuya’s TSUTAYA, in conjunction with the release of DVD, are going to exhibit soccer uniform which was worn by Yunho in the series movie. Apart from that, souvenirs which are specially produced will be sold on that day.

'Heading To The Ground' which describes dreams and love of a soccer Player Cha Bong Goon, is Yunho’s first challenge in acting, and has become a hot topic in Japan. It was broadcast by KNTV through Korean Special channel in January this year.

A Performance that endued with new meanings

The central stage with passages that stretched out to 4 different directions. In dim light, the venue was immersed in red ocean created by fans. On the big screen appeared messages from three of them, from there the concert began.

Junsu 'I can't live if I don't sing'.
Jejung 'It couldn't be better if all of us can become one through music.'
Yuchun 'Due to support from everyone, I have made it here.'

Three of them who made their appearance on the passages, walked slowly to the central stage in the cheering of fans. Started with singing 'Just because I had met you', from their new song 《いつだって君に》.

During their first MC, 'I miss you guys so much! Let's get high together!' This lifted fans' spirit to the max.
Jejung and Yuchun's duet 'shelter' and Junsu's solo 'Kanashimi no Yukue' showing off their delicate vocal through these soothing ballads. During the MC, Jejung even acted the scene from 'Sunao ni Narenakute', the series drama which he participated and hugged Junsu. This funny TALK heated up the atmosphere in the Dome. However the dancers went on stage shortly after that, bringing the enthusiastic performance of 'TOKYO LOVELIGHT feat.YUCHUN'. This followed by 'been so long', which demonstrated blending of vocal from special guest Lisa, soulful rap from Yuchun and high pitched vocal from Jejung harmoniously.


With full of gratitude, Created a touching stage with fans
After Kome Kome CLUB's '君がいるだけで' and other songs which showed off their harmonious chorus, the performance entered member's solo part. Yuchun brought a girl on stage from the audience and sang the lovely 'My Girlfriend' to her, causing continuous screaming from fans. 'Maze' that performed by Jejung is a song in rock genre, while Junsu performed his sexy dance song 'XIAHTIC'.
In order to get closer to fans, they wandered around the stage passages and audience seats unexpectedly, sometimes they would enter the stage gorgeously and had varies performances. Riding on carts, they going around the Dome while performing their last 2 new songs.
During the song 'Get Ready', the fans followed the members' hand movements while enjoying it. The members threw colorful balls to fans while singing '歩くよ、前に' from the song 'LONG WAY'.

To response to fans' cheering for encore, the members who went on stage again expressed their true feelings.

With gratitude, Yuchun said 'Although I was worried, but because of everyone, we are able to perform today.'
Junsu said with determination, 'For not disappointing the love that all of you have for us, I must work harder on stage.'
Jejung too, promised that,'I want to continue singing with the same pure heart that persists from the day of debut.'

After the speech, they performed their new song 'W'. With lyrics '君を待ってる' and 'いつか逢える', they conveyed all their sincere feelings to everyone in Dome.
After the LIVE ended with a total of 18 songs, three of them kept on repeating 'Thank you' to the fans. By the moment they stepped down the stage, the fans who witnessed their tears bestowed them with thunderous applause.

2008 Debuted no.1 on Oricon Chart, Becomes the most powerful Asia Star in History
In 2008, good news suddenly reached them. Their 16th single 'Purple Line' which released in January debuted atop the oricon, realized their vision. Taking this opportunity, experienced a sudden surge in media's attention towards THSK. Following 'Purple Line', 'Beautiful you', 'Dōshite Kimi o Suki ni Natte Shimattandarō?' and 'Mirotic' topped the chart successively. In '3rd Live Tour 2008 -T-' which began in March, the fans facing difficulties in getting a ticket even joined in the fan club.
The opportunities to star in prime time variety shows also increased. Through these shows, natural atmosphere and each member's personal charm were demonstrated. Due to this, their popularity brought to a higher level. They finally can attend Kōhaku Uta Gassen Music Festival on New Year's Eve, accomplished their goal of 'getting recognition with their real talents in Japan'.
With great success that achieved in Japan, they released their 4th original album 'Mirotic' in Korea after 2 years. Since their activities in Korea was disrupted for a long time, with anxiety and pressure, five of them harvested a total of 460,000 copies sold from their album. This year, DBSK swept all major music awards in Korea. In '2008 MKMF' , it left a deep impression, when Changmin who seldom cried, shed his tears in front of people. Able to achieve great success in Asia, including Korea and Japan, it was a remarkable path.


2009 The joy of success only in the blink of an eye... Facing the crisis of disbandment
DBSK's fast forward speed did not slow down in year 2009. Their 4th Japanese album 'The Secret Code' which released in March set their highest sales record in their own history and had been certified platinum. In May, they began their '4th Live Tour 2009~The Secret Code'. During the LIVE tour, they announced additional performances in Tokyo Dome, which again accomplished their goal as 5 together.
After the LIVE tour, Jejung and Yuchun released their self-composed single under the name of JEJUNG&YUCHUN (from东方神起). Yunho and Changmin also confirmed to star in their own drama series. The members were active in their solo activities. The commotion of disbandment was ready to explode.
On 31st of July 2009, Jejung, Yuchun and Junsu, three of them submitted an application to the Seoul Central District Court to determine the validity of their contract with SM Entertainment. Following this, their relationship with SM fall into dilemma. In October, the Seoul Central District Court ruled out invalidity in some parts of the contract, before the end of litigation, three of them have freedom to perform activities outside SM management. The activities together as 5 became impossible in Korea. They continued their activities in Japan as scheduled, participated in August's 'a-nation'09', and the other event. With the beginning of NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen at the end of the year, in this Japanese musical festival which had been participated for a various of time, they welcomed the new year in agony.


2010 Suspension of DBSK activities, but their hearts should not separate yet
On 27th of January 2010, released 29th single 'Break Out', which topped both weekly and monthly Oricon chart. Broke the record for the highest initial sales for foreign artists with a total of 25.6 million copies. However the crisis of disbandment still exists. On 3rd of April, AVEX officially announced the suspension of Tohoshinki's activities as 5. As a result, there is no chance of seeing five of them working together in Japan too.
During this period of time, Jejung, Yuchun and Junsu three of them accepted the court's decision in October 2009, and begin their activities. Junsu acted in 'Mozart' musical in January, Jejung plays a role in Japanese series drama 'Sunao ni Narenakute' which is still broadcasting now. Yuchun cast as main lead in BeeTV drama series 'Beautiful Love~Kimiga Ireba~'which started from 4th of June, meanwhile he was also confirmed to take part in Korean series drama 'SunKyunKwan Scandal'. Three of them even appeared as a subunit 'JYJ', performing live in Osaka and Tokyo Dome. On the other hand, Yunho and Changmin who stayed with SM, also started their solo activities.
On 9th of May, SM made an appeal to the request placed by the trio, the talks cannot be proceeded. The Courts advocated that: 'If the contents of the contract can be changed, there's possibility for 5 of them to active again.' However, how does it going to develop in the future is quite worrying. But we have to keep in faith that we can see them on stage together again as five.

JunSu, JeJung, YuChun ended the last stage of their Dome Tour on 6/13 in Tokyo Dome. Titled "JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN THANKSGIVING LIVE IN DOME," the stage was a chance for them to convey their gratitude to the fans were suffering from waiting for them.

A hot performance which shows their declaration to sing

A central stage that is stretched out with 4 passages to the audience. An assembly hall that is painted with the bright red color of penlights. Their live was started with a video message by the trio on the large screen. "I can't live on if I don't sing. I think I'll keep singing until the day I die," said JunSu, followed by JeJung, "It would be the best if we could become one with everyone through music." YuChun also expressed, "Because I received the strength from everyone, I've made it here."

The trio appeared from the end of each passage and started to walk slowly to the central stage in the overwhelming cheers of the audience. They kicked off by singing, "We wanted to see you only" from their new song "Itsudatte Kimi ni." In their first ment, they quickly raised the audience's spirit to climax by saying, "We wanted to see you all! Let's raise our spirit from here!"

JeJung and YuChun sang their duet song "Shelter" and JunSu performed his solo song "Kanashimi no Yukue", showcasing their delicate vocals through gentle ballads. On one hand, they continued to raise the audience's spirit in their next ment through JeJung and JunSu embracing each other to reenact a scene from JeJung's drama "Sunao ni Narenakute," and also through their funny talks. The next performance takes a complete turn with the the exciting song "TOKYO LOVELIGHT feat. YUCHUN," accompanied by the dancers. The next song "been so long" pleasantly intertwined the vocal of the special guest LISA, the soulful rap of YuChun, and the clear high notes of JeJung.

Creating a touching stage together with the audience through their gratitude

After shaking off the audience with three cover songs, such as Kome Kome CLUB's "Kimi ga Iru dake de," each of them stepped on their own solo stage. YuChun picked a girl from the audience and lovingly sang "My Girlfriend" to her while holding her hand and later having his arm around her shoulders, causing much screams from the audience. JeJung showed off his stout vocal by singing his rock song "Maze," while JunSu displayed a sexy performance with "XIAHTIC."

With their simple hope to be closer to fans, they would riskily come out at unexpected places such as the audience passage or audience seat sometimes and caused explosion amongst the audience. They also stood on the high crane and rode on the carts during their last 2 new songs to make a round trip to the arena. During "Get Ready," the audience follow the hand movements that were taught by the members. During the chorus of "Long Way" with the positive lyrics, "We will walk ahead," they also gave service to the audience by throwing out colorful balls.

After the long cheering from the audience, the members came back on stage for the encore, and each of them, again, spoke out words from their hearts. YuChun said with gratitude, "I was very worried, but thanks to everyone, I was able to come out today." JunSu said with determination, "We will do our best on stage not to lose to the love you have for us," while JeJung made a powerful statement, "We want to continue to sing forever with the pure emotions that have always been with us since our debut." After the comments, they sang their new song "W". The serious ballad with lyrics such as "We're waiting for you" and "We will meet someday" had definitely delivered their feelings to each and every member of the audience.

After finished singing 18 songs, the trio kept saying "Thank you" to the audience countless times. The moment they stepped down the stage, they couldn't hold in their emotions anymore and their tears started to flow. Witnessing their tears, the audience also couldn't stop cheering and clapping to comfort them.

Junsu who is having his solo activities, was performing in Girls' Grand Ceremonny 'Girls Award 2010'!
Junsu in his new image made his solo debut in 'Girls Award 2010'. The event was held on 22th of May, in 1st stadium of Yoyogi National Gymnasium, participated by popular models Marie, Yona, Lena Fujii, artists Natsuki Kato, IKKO, Akina Minami, Sasaki Nozomi and singers Kana Nishino, Meisa Kuroki, 青山teruma and the others (Erika Sawajiri's debut stage received the most support). Junsu as XIAH Junsu appeared finally at the last performance. When the music of his first single 'Intoxication' from his solo album started, the cheering of the audience reached its peak (exceeded the expectation for 20 times). There was a lot of people waving in red glow sticks, as if the nearly 12000 audience in that venue were all Junsu's fans. Under the stage lights, Junsu in black suits, along with his back dancers, dancing into his sexy dance, once in a while he will take off his jacket to show off his body. In second song 'Xiatic', he danced with female dancer, at that moment the venue was filled with fans' screaming. (Able to watch) the incendiary performance which full of charm of a man, for fans, who had waited for 6 hours was worth of it?! The single debuted On 26th of May, but unfortunately lost to AKB48 and came in 2nd place.



TVXQ special history 2004~2010

2004 Emergence of Dong Bang Shin Ki! Prologue of a Legendary Group
choir, acapella, dancing, these are essential qualification needed to be fulfilled by an idol group. However, it is difficult in pursuit of high quality skills in all members. Hence, under these circumstances, specialization among the members into member who is in charged of vocal, in charged of rap and in charged of dancing. However, it is totally different in DBSK. This group is formed by members who has capability to be the lead vocal equally.
DBSK begins on 14th January 2004, when debuted gorgeously with single 'HUG'. In Korea which was in the midst of cooling down Idol fever, even debuted may need to struggle (before achieving any result). However 'HUG' won no.1 in various musical programs for countless times, and gaining popularity rapidly. This is like the meanings that expressed in their group's title, the moment of 'Rising Gods of the East'
Later on, the boys who were instantly turn into popular singers released their first album 'TRI-ANGLE' in October the same year which sold a total of 100 thousand copies. With wining the Best New Artist award in the year end Musical Festival, they nominally, practically ranked among the top stars in Korea. At this time, a press conference was held in Narita International Airport, to prepare for their debut in Japan officially.


2005 As JPOP rookie, they tasted bitterness during their stay in Japan
Debuted only for 1 year, they already considered as top stars in Korea. Taking advantage of effects from Korean series drama 'Winter Sonata', went into Japan which was in the midst of Korean wave.
Although having possibilities in gaining popularity through debut, they did not take the short cut. In order to let their abilities being recognized, and to maintain long term popularity, although achieved extreme popularity in Korea, they still choose the path to debut as JPOP rookie. Five of them officially switched their activities towards Japan, and begin their life together in Tokyo.
After learning Japanese language and vocal practice, on 27th of April 2005, they released their first Japanese single 'Stay With me tonight', but it did not get the same response as they debuted in Korea. They can gather 50 000 fans during LIVE in Korea, but in Japan only 50 people. Walking on street, people surrounding them also won't be surprised... stunned and mortified by such kind of popularity, and the gap between their recognition in Korea and Japan, they even produced ideas to give up their activities in Japan. However they did not depressed because of that. In order to get recognition from Japanese, in order to understand the lyrics, and can communicate fluently, they put all their efforts in studying Japanese language.

2006 First LIVE tour -- Cumulative efforts begins to bear fruit
On 23rd March 2006, their first Japanese album 'Heart, Mind and Soul' was released. Their continuing and practical efforts started to display bits by bits, gradually gaining recognition and popularity. The close relationship between Tohoshinki members, their stiff but cute Japanese language, as well as the personalities of each member that showing off gradually, not only captured attentions of fans who are attracted to their songs, but also increasing in wide range of fans.
From 13th of May till 28th of June, they started their first ever Japanese LIVE tour '1st Live Tour 2006 ~Heart, Mind and Soul~'. This LIVE tour was performed in small scale, the tickets were all sold out within 1 day. In this LIVE tour, the members probably had concrete feelings towards their activities in Japan for the first time. In summer, they took part in grand musical festival - 'a-nation' which was organized by their Japanese Record Company for the first time. There should be a lot of fans who were influenced by their high quality enthusiastic performance at that time. This year was the year of LIVE, in February there was 'The 1st Live Concert Rising Sun' in Korea, in July was 1st live tour 'Rising Sun 1st Asia Tour' which unfolded in Malaysia, Thailand.

DBSK besides focused their activities in Japan, they also maintained their regular activities in Korea. In 2005, they released 2nd album 'Rising Sun'. In between, they still released their mini album, and performed in 3 different live tours. No matter how young they were, their exhaustion in these densely packed schedule was beyond imagination. Therefore, there was quarrel between members during dance practice for LIVE.(I think this sentence referred to the scene found in the film 'Vacation' = =)
Under these circumstances, they still released 7 singles and their 2nd album 'Five In The Black' in Japan. In May they began their '2nd Live Tour 2007- Five in The Black', performed in Budokan for additional 2 days which attracted a total of 22,000 fans. With a grand total of 77,000 fans, it showed more affection if compared to 1st live tour. And starting from that moment, their single debuted in upper position on the Oricon chart for the first time. It was not far from the day when TVXQ Fever swept through Japan.

[TRANS] Netizens Apologize to Crebeau

Since the beginning of the lawsuit, a flock of so-called fans have gathered at a website called 'Daum Television TVXQ Gallery'. These fans ally themselves with SM Entertainment, defaming the trio and causing hatred amongst fans. One of the most frequently raised issues revolves around a cosmetics company, and criticisms on the trio are translated into Japanese, English and Chinese, and posted onto various websites.

‘Daum Television TVXQ Gallery’ was one of the three websites involved in the initiation of the recent pro-SM fan petition (the other two being ‘savetvxq’ and ‘aftertvxq’). The petition requests a formal apology as well as the three members’ return to SM Entertainment.

The fans on these websites contend that the lawsuit filed by the three TVXQ members was ‘based off of momnetary temptation which began with the cosmetic company.’ They also viciously accuse Crebeau cosmetics of selling cheap, second-rate ‘made in china’ products, and publicly critisize the company for running a pyramid scheme.

The same allegations were made by SM in a press conference held last year.

The slander and defamation of SM and these so-called fans have caused Crebeau Cosmetics severe losses, and this triggered Crebeau CEO Kang Seok Won’s lawsuit against SM CEO Kim Young Min, in which the former claimed victory (NOTE: This is not true, the police finished investigation for the lawsuit and passed the documents on to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office. Crebeau did NOT win the lawsuit).

Recently, having gathered sufficient evidence of slander against them over the internet, Crebeau pressed charges against a total of 15 netizens involved in the dissemination of defamatory rumours.

The individuals who have been pressed charges against have since posted letters of apology over various websites.

To all the employees of Crebeau whom I have harmed with the contents of my blog, please accept my sincere apologies.
All of this is the consequence of my thoughtlessness, my fallibility and what I thought to be my love for TVXQ.
In particular, I’d like to apologize to President Kang for the extensive losses and pain I have caused. Sorry.

When I wrote the piece about Crebeau, I was expressing my personal opinion and my perception of ‘the truth’, I did not consider the possibility that what I was writing could be completely false, I am truly sorry.
In my naivety, I only thought of myself and failed to consider the staff of Crebeau, I am very sorry.

I am writing this to convey my remorse for the damage I have caused to your company’s reputation. Because of my mistake, many people formed a negative impression of Crebeau.

In the July issue of magazine “Bijin Hyakka”, Tohoshinki’s leader Yunho had his first appearance. In the interview, he talked about his thoughts on love.

[TRANS] 100617 Jaejoong Fans Donate Surgery Fees For A Young Girl

Youngwoong Jaejoong & SarangJoong fanclub has donated money towards surgery fee's for a girl with Leukemia.

Youngwoong Jaejoong & SarangJoong is a member of Korea's Heart Disease Foundation because they want to go further than Korea to bring support to places in Asia like Japan and China.

Helping people who still dream when they are trapped, this is part of a project to support Jaejoong having activities outside of Korea. Selling fan-made DVD's, t-shirts and such, this fanclub project has brought in a total of 6,000,000 Won, and donated it to Korea's Heart Disease Foundation. The Foundation will fund this money to Park*Ki (14 years old), to assist her with her operation.

Park*Ki has received her younger brother's bone marrow in a operation on the 19th of May, and is now in the process of healing. On the 3rd of June, SarangJoong's management went to visit Park*Ki when she was healing in an isolation ward to send her presents. Because it was an isolation ward, they couldn't talk directly to her, and Park*Ki conveyed her thanks through the glass window. The management too hopes for her full recovery.

SarangJoong will gather all the members love, and work hard to continue to donate to charities. As like Youngwoong Jaejoong's songs and techniques give them their biggest comfort and joy, Youngwoong Jaejoong & SarangJoong's members want to share the love with people in need.

Yoochun’s first TV series in Japan, “Beautiful Love ~君がいれば~” starts airing through BeeTV in early June. The drama is about a handsome chaebol roled by Yoochun and Omasa Aya as a journalist dreaming to be a novelist, from their confrontations, gradually they start to understand each other, a kind of Cinderella love story.

Even since the first day of video release, the number of download of this drama has been breaking the previous record by gaining 250,000 downloads, and together with “Making off ~ Beautiful Love ~” the drama has set a record to be the most viewed video for 4 consecutive days, definitely garnering its popularity!

JS: It's been a long time since we stood in front of the audience, so of course we're feeling nervous. But… ah… we carry the mix of joy, pressure, worries, and various feelings… We will do our best with our positive feelings so that you will be able to enjoy the stage that we offer. After all, when I stand on the stage and sing… for me, I feel that if I sing, I can keep on living. That is how important the stage is to me. Well, if I can convey something to the fans through our songs, I'll be very happy. Perhaps, for me, well… I think I will be singing until the day I die. [TRANS] 100614 Tohoshinki’s New Unit Cries “I Still Want To Continue Singing From Now On”

Popular group Tohoshinki on hiatus, has its members Junsu, Jejung and Yuchun for a new unit, and perform in Tokyo Dome for two days ending on the 13th. The 4 day tour attracted around 200,000 viewers. After the last song, Jejung commented “When I cried on the first day in Osaka, seeing everyone want to cry broke my heart. Today here, are you all smiling happily?" Smiling, he also said “Since our debut till now, I want to keep my feelings pure and continue singing”, and the three promised that, and couldn’t suppress their painful tears.

Last year in July, Tohoshinki had their first Tokyo Dome performance, and after 11 months, they once again stood on that stage. Yuchun said, “In truth, to come here again, I was a bit worried. But, because all of you we are here. Really, thank you very much!” Overcoming the problems of disbandment, the three were thankful to be able to gather here again. Junsu also said, “having the Dome filled with everyone, it feels like a dream. I’m really happy”, and as he bowed, he started to cry.

On the first day of the Kyocera Dome performance, both the members and the fans cried. Telling us of his feelings at then, Jejung said “even though it’s only the 3 of us on the stage…. the thing’s we couldn’t tell you, the sad things, the painful things and such, the tears that we’ve been trying to hold back, that we’ve thought of showing.” In the face of a complicated future, they showed sincerity, today they decided to “laugh and enjoy with everyone,” and kept smiling.

However, when they sang the last ballad “W”, which contained lyrics that alluded to hope for a reunion with the remaining members of Tohoshinki, the feelings overflowed and they started to cry. As the 3 left the stage in tears, the 54,000-strong crowd clapped and there was a resounding cheer that delivered the message, “Thank you.”

With the concept of “Singing to thank the fans for their support,””JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN THANKSGIVING LIVE IN DOME” presented 4 new songs, including “Itsudatte kimi ni” (For you, always) and “W”, as well as other songs and solos, with a total of 18 songs performed. On the 28th of July, the documentary road movie of the three members’ journey of self-discovery before the new unit was active,“3hree Voices” will be released.

Junsu, Jejung & Yuchun, who cried at the response of the fans at Tokyo Dome for the last day of their Live Performance.

Stopping all activities since April, Korea’s 5-member group Tohoshinki’s Junsu, Jejung and Yuchun ended their “JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN THANKSGIVING LIVE IN DOME” at Tokyo Dome on the 13th of June. Jejung, who cried at the very first song in the Osaka Performance said “No matter what pain and sadness we’ve been through, we’ve endured it, we have been bearing with it.” And admitted to the emotional pain that they have been though. “But from here, I can see the crying faces of everyone, and that makes me sad, so from now on, I want to smile properly. To see everyone enjoying themselves, I think it’s better if we show you the happy side of ourselves,” he said. However, as they sang their new song during the encore, that was the moment that tears started to flow among the audiences below the stage.

This Live was performed at 2 different venues, with a total of 4 performances. Nearly 1 million applications for tickets were received, and Kyocera Dome was packed with 46,000 fans, a record breaking audience number for Kyocera Dome. Tokyo Dome was packed with 54,000 fans daily. The live, inclusive of the encore, saw a total of 18 songs performed, with 4 new songs being performed by the 3 members.

Yuchun, who cried at the Tokyo Dome encore stage, said “Last year was the first time, and this is the second time. (Last year) I really wanted to stand on the Tokyo Dome stage again, but I was worried”he admitted. Junsu said, “When this (Live performance) was decided, it was really like a dream. Because we don’t want to disappoint everyone who is supporting us, we want to work hard on this stage,”choking on his words.

From now, Junsu will be performing as solo artist XIAH Junsu, as well as a trio unit together with Jejung and Yuchun.

Tohoshinki members Junsu, Jejung and Yuchun, whose group has currently paused all activities, held the final leg of their Dome Tour on June 13th at Tokyo Dome.

This Dome tour was spread between two locations, Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome, and had four performances in total. There were over one million applications for tickets to all four concerts. They set a record for the biggest audience at the Kyocera Dome legs, held on June 5th and 6th, with 46,000 people showing up per day; this was a performance Tohoshinki fans had been waiting for.

At the Tokyo Dome performance, which attracted 54,000 fans, the starting time passed and the opening video began. After each member spoke of their current plans on video, the three appeared from different sides and walked towards the center of the stage. There was no sound other than the loud cheers from the over 50,000 people who were there. And then the three reached the center stage. Jejung began with their new song, a medium tempo ballad titled “何時だって君に (For you, Always)”. Not one of them were smiling. However, it seemed as though their eyes were filled with happiness and gratefulness at being able to meet with their fans once more.

“We are happy that so many people came today like always. We will work as hard as we can, so please help us liven up the atmosphere.” – Junsu

During the live performances, the crowd would cheer every time the members’ gazes hit them as Jejung, Junsu and Yuchun moved around. On stage, Junsu interrogated Yuchun about the fact that, “During the drama shoot, you kissed(Aya Oomasa) without it being in the script”. The three replayed the best scenes from their dramas and made the audience laugh during their talks.

The three sang three new songs ‘君のために(For You)’, ‘Get Ready’, and ‘Long Way’, Junsu sang a song from his single “XIAH” which was released on May 26th, and the JEJUNG & YUCHUN duo sang both songs from their single “COLORS ~Melody and Harmony~/Shelter”. Yuchun & Jejung each sang a solo, and the three sang covers of J-POP songs, Hideaki Tokunaga’s ‘Rainy Blue’ and Kome Kome Club’s ‘君がいるだけで (As long as you’re here)’. During the cover of m-flo’s ‘Been so Long’, LISA appeared on stage as a guest and the four of them had the whole place fired up.


Yuchun chose 15-year-old Miki out of over 50,000 fans to sing ‘My Girlfriend’ to, inducing loud screams from the other females present as he placed his arm around her shoulder, held her hand and knelt as he presented her with flowers. Jejung’s rock solo ‘Maze’ covered the Dome in lasers, and the wind coming from below Jejung’s feet fired up the audience’s red glow (red is Tohoshinki’s color) even more. Junsu showed off a perfect dance performance with his song ‘XIAHTIC’ and showed off his muscles in a tank top as he danced seductively with female backdancers. The three sang eighteen songs, including an encore, for around three hours with 12 dancers, five band members and 70 support dancers.


“When it was decided that this performance would happen, I believe that you all decided to come here hoping to see our smiling faces rather than to hear our sad and unfortunate stories. On the first day in Osaka, because there were only three people on stage, I fought to hold back the tears I’d been storing from all the hard, sad things that have happened and all the things we haven’t been able to tell you. When we let out all our emotions at Osaka, it was so sad to see your crying faces, and I thought, “I shouldn’t cry in front of everyone.” I feel it is better to leave the stage as a place where we can show ourselves singing, dancing and enjoying our time there. Just being able to look you in the eye, see your smiling faces makes this Live so meaningful. I want to hold that pure emotion, that is like your smiling faces, and carry it with me as I sing with you by my side.” – Jejung

The three who said, “We shouldn’t show any tears on stage,” finished their final farewells and left the stage. As soon as they got off stage, they said, “We were happy,” with fat tears rolling down their cheeks.

So that the three can send their gratitude to more people, the digest video of , which attracted 200,000 people in four days, will be available on mu-mo, NICONICO Videos and Myspace USTREAM for free.
